The pulleys on the Governor’s Island ferry dock were the inspiration for this collage, along with the text “At The Same Moment,” painted on the Manhattan side of the ferry port. Foer comments, “The view from the ferry is captivating because you see two bridges on the east side, which are intertwined in my collage and delineated with twisted ribbons so they more closely depict the bridges’ cables.”
