In recent years in the Netherlands, there have been initiatives, including friendly competition between municipalities to remove garden paving. The purpose of this green action is to increase biodiversity and replenish groundwater. In my collage holes in broken Delft tiles allow raindrops to sink into soil nurturing tulip bulbs.
